Tim Vatuone leads the Vertex Consulting team. A technology industry veteran with over 27 years of financial management experience—19 years as CFO of a variety of high-profile tech companies—Tim has successfully navigated rapidly changing business and economic terrain, accelerating start-ups and helping to turn the corner on unprofitable companies. Here are a few examples:

• Caught the “start-up bug” early with Convergent Technologies. Grew company from $9 million to $325 million in 3 years.
• Chief Financial Officer of publicly traded (NASDAQ) Syntellect Inc., Led a turn-around yielding profit for the company for the first time in 10 years as well as taking DSO down from 135+ days to 55 days and crafting a re-organization saving millions in overhead and generating millions in additional cash.  The company was successfully sold in 2003. 
• Chief Financial Officer of Vivid Semiconductor, Inc., a venture backed, LCD panel technology start-up, where he helped raise over $65 million in various financings and successfully sold to National Semiconductor.
• Chief Financial Officer of Capetronic International Holdings, Ltd., a $300+ million Asian-based electronics manufacturer.  Grew revenue from $160 million to $310 million; took company from a loss to a $10+ million profit.

Tim holds a BS degree in economics and an MBA degree from the University of Santa Clara, has served on the board of directors of a number of companies and has been active in a number of executive organizations such as the Financial Executives Institute, Arizona Venture Capital Conference and the National Association of Corporate Directors.
